The story
Making the extension feel intentional
The glazed room had plenty of daylight but its plain floor left it feeling more like an add-on than part of the home. The customer wanted a finish with enough character to make the small space feel deliberate.
Letting the pattern move
Charcoal, pearl and silver were chosen after looking at how the samples changed beside the windows. The aim was a flowing pattern rather than a repeated marble effect, allowing every section of the floor to remain slightly different.
Working in controlled pours
After preparation and moisture checks, a pale base coat was installed. The metallic colours were then poured and moved by hand while wet, creating the broad veins and softer transitions. A clear gloss seal completed the surface.
Different from every angle
Reflections from the surrounding glass make the finished floor change as the daylight moves. From the doorway it reads as a dramatic dark surface; closer up, the silver and pearl detail becomes much more visible.
