The story
A garage that needed a reset
The garage was used for storage, tools and everyday jobs, but the marked concrete made the whole room feel unfinished. The aim was to create something cleaner and easier to look after while retaining the practical character of a working garage.
Grey without feeling flat
A neutral flake blend was chosen instead of a completely solid colour. The variation softens the appearance of dust and everyday marks, while the mid-grey background sits comfortably with the white walls and darker fittings already in the room.
Building the finish
The concrete was mechanically prepared and small worn areas were repaired. A primer and grey body coat followed before the flake was broadcast across the wet surface. Once cured, the loose material was removed and the floor was sealed with a clear topcoat.
Ready for everyday use
The finished floor gives the room a clear visual base and makes the tools and storage feel more organised. It still reads as a practical garage, just one that now feels properly considered from the floor upwards.
