The story
A small floor in constant use
This workshop needed to remain useful for tools, storage and regular maintenance jobs. With shelving, pipework and fixed fittings around the room, the floor also needed a finish that could visually settle a busy space.
A finer flake blend
A dense blend of black, white and grey flakes was selected to create texture without making the narrow room look crowded. The smaller flake scale suits the compact footprint and helps soften the appearance of everyday workshop dust.
Working around the room
The exposed concrete was ground and repaired, with the fixed edges and pipework carefully masked. A neutral base coat was applied before the fine flake was broadcast densely across the floor and sealed beneath a clear topcoat.
A neater working footprint
The finished surface gives the workshop a distinct, easy-to-read floor plane. The tools and storage remain exactly where they are needed, while the monochrome finish makes the room feel calmer and more complete.
